De Soto Frank Posted July 27, 2013 Report Posted July 27, 2013 I've been running Autolite 303 or 308 in my '41 De Soto for the last 15 years / 30,000 miles. Original spec was for Auto-Lite A7 or A7B. Seem to work okay, and are readily available. I have never run across an old MoPar ( or any other make for that matter ) that still had Autolie A7 or A5 plugs in it... those plugs are long, long obsolete. I've never even run across them at yard sales or flea marts... Frank Quote

Frank Elder Posted July 28, 2013 Report Posted July 28, 2013 With the unleaded gas on the market these days you can get a lot more than 15-20 thousand miles on a set of sparkplugs. At least double that and more. Don I finally changed plugs at 112,000 on my wife's 07 cobalt about half the electrode was gone on all 4.....put in those fancy pants bosch 4 prongers....sure threw the computer for a loop until it acclimated!
