48Dodger Posted May 17, 2013 Report Posted May 17, 2013 I think it is strange but some folks believe it is a status symbol for carrying and displaying a huge key ring. Must make then feel inportant. I once worked with a guy (he was nick named bucket head for some unknown reason) who carried about 3-4 big full key rings looped through his belt so they were always visible. You could hear him jingling wherever he walked. I once asked him if he actually had knowledge of what all those keys fit. He replied positively so I asked him to name them. He did so. Then I ask him to unlock a door with one of the keys he named. Took him a half hour of trial and error to find the key but he did find it. Back in 90' I had locked my self out of my 86 truck at work. I was visibly upset. A guy with a large key ring o' keys cruised on over and offered to help. He stuck about 4 different keys in my drivers side door lock, and wouldn't you know it, he opened it. I think he was a surprised as I was..lol. 48D Quote

We all chided him for reinforcing our stereotype. Hank Quote
