My neighbor is converting a one ton 1948 chassis to fit his B1B and has lots of parts for sale. He is using the one ton drive train, but has a complete B1B 3 speed drive train from his 52 for sale - 16 inch wheels and all. Tranny is on the tree. Drive train parts available include the front axle assembly and all brake units, drums, etc. These parts are reasonable. E-mail me directly with your needs. These parts are in east central PA.

Thanks

Thanks to Grey Beard I have four 16" wheels if anyone needs them. The reason I can't use them is they are 6 lug. Most of our trucks have the 5 lug pattern. Let me know, Jim Roach

I bought the lower grill bar for my B-1-C from the neighbor, with Grey Beard acting as the go-between.

The grill bar was EXACTLY as he described...and there's another thing: If you purchase anything from his neighbor, you certainly do NOT have to be concerned about the 'package' he sends it it...'cause it ain't gonna get damaged in shipment!

Those two guys are a pleasure to do business with!:) :) :)

Welcome to the club. I too just bought a Dodge classic, a B-1-C, I think. I all pumped up about it; my wife just yawns.

Jeff, I think you probably have it backwards, and your truck is a B-1-b. (For reference see my earlier post about model designations)There some great pictures on this website. Also, check out:

Welcome to the new PILOT !!!!

You'll need to get the "DODGE B-SERIES TRUCKS" by Don Bunn.

Amazon sells it. ISBN 1-58388-087-9

It's got everything you'll need to know about the B series trucks.

Hi Jreff,

If you are talking about the two parking lamps below the headlights, yes, these are available frrom Dennis' parts truck. Can't speak to how rusty they will be till they are pulled, but the rest of the truck is not bad at all, so I'm betting they'll be useable.

Don't have any pics of the front bumper but it is a perfectly straight old bumper that just needs DA'd down and primed/painted to look like factory new. Don't know where you live, but I suspect shipping may eat you up if you are very far away from PA.

Here's a good opportunity for you newbies who may need drive train or sheet metal parts to get them cheap. There is a 1953 218 engine, 3-speed tranny on the tree with **** linkage complete plus the remainder of the drive train, PLUS the front axle and suspension and all brake components. ALSO there is a complete 1953 grille assembly Dennis will not be using. These parts are real reasonable if you can arrange shipping or pick-up. Just e-mail me directly.:)

Ray,

Sorry to report that no mirrors survived. This is a 1947 one ton pickup that became a parts truck after a huge tree fell on it - all that survived was the nose and power train, etc. Sorry.:(
