doctor dirt Posted April 15, 2013 Author Report Posted April 15, 2013 Searching now, in the mean time the latest report is in and the fuel pump gasket isn't good. we tightened it up snuggly the other day but its leaking. I called the NAPA's and Carquest no luck, hit the ebay no luck and did a general search (google) no luck they all have the gasket for the bowl but not the pump!! What does the "L-head Motor Court of Appeals say"???? Rockauto?? maybe? Doc Quote

You should be able to make one easily.Big hole for the arm. 2 small holes for the bolts. Edited April 15, 2013 by shel_bizzy_48 Quote
doctor dirt Posted April 15, 2013 Author Report Posted April 15, 2013 Its not listed anywheres, Rockauto, JC Whitney etc. the bowl gasket is obvious and the stores are try to sell that to me!! I was told that Fel Pro #5099 is the gasket the bowl is 5019 but I can't compare that anywheres! Anywheres isn't a word is it??? looks terrible. _shel_ny Posted April 15, 2013 Report Posted April 15, 2013 You can buy an engine rebuild gasket kit. It will have one. It will also have the hard to find oil pump gasket. Quote
doctor dirt Posted April 15, 2013 Author Report Posted April 15, 2013 I'm considering entering the "hard to find gasket making business"! HA! I've been told that it is NOT a part, imagine! ok thanx shel_bizzy_48, I'll check that out or just pull it and make it!!! So much for the "restored car" can't wait to open the steering box here goes the fences in the neighborhood!! nite all Doc Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted April 16, 2013 Report Posted April 16, 2013 come on folks..a gasket is so easy to make..pair of scissors, exacto knife, say you need round hole 3/8th inch..set the nut on one side of the gasket, use the bolt on the other and tap with a hammer..perfert round hole...nuts/bolts make nice hole cutters just pick the size you need...old timers are turning in their grave as I type...lol Quote
