50 Dodge Lug Nut Posted March 8, 2013 Report Posted March 8, 2013 Maybe NOT our "brand" of choice, but this is an incredible story about a magnificent car and a "find" of a lifetime. Click here: 1967 CORVETTE –<http://www.vintagecorvettes.com/1967davis.html> Quote
ptwothree Posted March 8, 2013 Report Posted March 8, 2013 Interesting....too bad it's not a roadster....the coupe's were a bit claustrophobic, but I'll bet it's worth big bucks. I had a ride in a '67 435 hp roadster with this same color combo....it was very scary fast!!!! Quote
48Dodger Posted March 12, 2013 Report Posted March 12, 2013 I have mixed feelings about cars like that, doesn't matter what make or model. I wanna drive a car, not zip lock it and forget about it. It's kinda sad that it has no memories for anyone....no picnics.....no weekend drags....no prom date....no wedding pictures....just locked in a tower. If it had happened because the owner died and the wife didn't want to drive it, or worse.....the owner died in Vietnam and the family didnt want it touched.......but this isn't the case. Its like a book with blank pages to me. I have a 68 4 door Coronet I hot rodded....My Grandparents drove that car to our house when we were kids....especially at Christmas...loaded with Christmas presents. I loved that car.....It was my brother's first car, he drove it in college.....it was my second car, took the kids to school in it....when the time was right, I paint that old white beast red, and loaded the 383 with tons of power. Today Its called the Sleigh,....who knows, I might bring presents to the grandkids someday in it.... sometimes you can't define a car by its paperwork, but rather its life work. Hopfully, that Corvette gets a chance to make up for lost time, now that it's out of the wrapper. 48D Quote
