scott1956 Posted February 17, 2013 Report Posted February 17, 2013 The cavalier rack does not have splines, it is a 17mm DD type shaft. Flaming river make a u joint that fits part fr1759dd Here is the link to summit. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/fla-fr1759dd Scott Quote

scotty t Posted February 19, 2013 Author Report Posted February 19, 2013 thank you, sir! my cavalier rack has a different input shaft it's splined with one flat, it is manual i don'r know it that makes a difference or maybe it's just an oddball? Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted February 19, 2013 Report Posted February 19, 2013 (edited) you may very well have to count the splines and measure the flat and contact a company dealing in Borgeson or Flaming River for the proper joint..second you will also have to be able to tell them what intermediate shaft (hopefully telecoping) and its deisign and also verify that the shaft will also connect to your steering cloumn if you are changing this items also...mix and matching of components can be quite confusing..time consuming and more than not may reequire some welding of components....DO keep in mind that whatever you use, these joints if more than one is involved in the connection of your column to the rack, they must be in phase same as your driveshaft requirements to get optimum range without bind..
