caddyman68 Posted January 21, 2013 Report Posted January 21, 2013 Having completed a correct frame off restoration of a 1947 P-15 Special Deluxe, I have been dismayed I can't seem to locate a copper oil drain plug gasket. The only ones I find are non-metallic. Does anyone know where I could find one? Thank you, Larry Quote
49roadster Posted January 21, 2013 Report Posted January 21, 2013 I got one at my local NAPA store a couple of years ago. I brought the drain plug with me. Quote
54Illinois Posted January 21, 2013 Report Posted January 21, 2013 Yep NAPA for me as well. Bring in the plug. Quote
Scruffy49 Posted January 21, 2013 Report Posted January 21, 2013 Lowes and Home Depot both have them in the specialty hardware bins IF that location has a good buying agent. Not all stores carry the same product. You can also usually find them in the misc blister pack hardware section of your local generic auto parts store. Normally on the turnable round racks, close to the metric bolts or trim fasteners. If ou know your SAE to Metric Conversions, it's pretty easy to get the right one... 1/2"=13mm, 9/16"=14mm, 11/16"=17mm... it should be one of those shank sizes. Quote
Tom Skinner Posted January 22, 2013 Report Posted January 22, 2013 Vintage Power Wagon also sells them Quote
