electric fuel pump

I put electric 6 volt fuel pump on my 50 dodge a few weeks ago. On the first long trip [50mi] carb started leaking real bad. After determining I was going to have to rebuild carb I decided to check fuel pressure to carb. Book says 3.5 to 5 lbs. I had 14 lbs no wonder it leaks. Now going to put pressure regulator in line.

it's quite odd that you got 14 lbs from a 6 volt pump...but yeah..you need the inline regulator for sure with that puppy..
