NobbyofTexas Posted September 17, 2012 Report Posted September 17, 2012 At some of the car shows that I have attended, I noticed that on the vehicles that have runningboards that the owners had mounted a chrome step pad on each side that had Chevrolet or Ford on them. The purchase was to keep from scratching the runningboards and to "bling" the runningboards up a little. Does anyone know a supplier that might sell these,I would like to get some for my 52 Dodge B3 with the word Dodge on the pad. Thank you, Gary Miami Texas Quote
MBF Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 I don't know of anyone that makes these, but you may want to check clearance between the bottom of your door and the top of the ridges on the running board. I don't know if there is enough room for anything other than a flat step guard. Mike Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 I think one of you want a step plate that bolts to the actual metal running board of the truck and the other is thinking of a threshold plate of some sort... Quote
Desotodav Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 We chatted about these a while back Gary - http://www430.pair.com/p15d24/mopar_forum/showthread.php?t=32677&highlight=running . PM or email me if you want me to chase up with Glen here in Oz. He lists the rubber mats for $42 each. The metal surround is listed in his 'universal' section for $125 each. I'm not sure how they would fit on our running boards due to the raised strengthening sections in the metal - they would easily fit a flat running board. I would have thought that there would be someone there in the States that would make and supply them. Desotodav Quote
