I went to an auction on Saturday that was an old IH and Chrysler dealership. There was a black 48 New Yorker 4 door there. They apparently sold this to a local doctor and then bought it back when he could no longer drive it. It had around 30,000 actual miles on it. Highlander plaid interior, Fulton visor, fog lights, wide whites, etc. Very nice original car. It sold for a little over $14,000, which was quite high. It's nice to see unrestored cars like that are still bringing good money.

what did the auctioneers use for chum to get the sharks so stirred up? A good survivor car is truly a sight to see over a restored car..both are nice but the survivor speaks of well cared for car..they are only new once..they are only original one time around....the survivor trend is gaining ground in the hobby..
