Now that one is cool...wondered if early mechanical fuel injection could be used on a flatty...question answered! Wish we knew what muffler{s} was under there. Quote
Andydodge Posted June 12, 2012 Report Posted June 12, 2012 Yep, thats in Oz, its an Oz TJ Richards body, Mario built it originally about 20 yrs ago, recently updated it again.........weird thing is that both 3 and 5 window coupe bodys were bulit here in Oz, 3 windows are much more common, a mate has this car & is rebuilding it now, this pic was taken about 30 yrs ago.......have also attached a scan of pics of the Oz 37-39 Willys coupe & Ute bodys........andyd Quote
greg g Posted June 12, 2012 Report Posted June 12, 2012 I believe the black coupe was discussed on this forum and the ower was a participent for a while. Sounds pretty snotty don't it??? Quote
Andydodge Posted June 12, 2012 Report Posted June 12, 2012 Btw if you look real close on the pic of the blue 39 Dodge coupe you can make out the " TJR " stamped plate that is on the US drivers side of the firewall........these were spot welded onto the firewall. They also have a brass plate with " T J Richards King Of The Road " on the top of the firewall and a small triangular enamelled badge with "Richards" & a kangaroo on the Oz passenger side of the cowl ...........a bit of trivia...........andyd Quote

randroid Posted June 12, 2012 Report Posted June 12, 2012 Gents, Spiffy cars, both of them, but I wonder why a stock master cylinder would be trusted to stop a dragster. Maybe the builder is of the school that thinks you aren't winning any races with the brakes on? -Randy Quote
