eric wissing Posted April 28, 2007 Report Posted April 28, 2007 There was a set of disc brakes for a 1948 Plymouth on Ebay. They ended at $560. They were from Pldo. Isn't that more than the cost for buying it directly from Plydo? Granted some of the work was done. What is a rough figure for all parts needed, the kit plus all else. ECI is aroung $575. Isn't that complete? I might be totally misguided and badly informed. Eric Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted April 28, 2007 Report Posted April 28, 2007 If I remember right, didn't that set include not ust the brakes, but the R&P brackets, extensions and tapered shims, the 3 inch lowering spindles and the shock relocation brackets. Faily complet package..thing the spindles alone are a tad over 300.00 Quote
Don Coatney Posted April 28, 2007 Report Posted April 28, 2007 As the auction has ended post a link. Quote

eric wissing Posted April 28, 2007 Author Report Posted April 28, 2007 Here it is: Item number: 280107189221. I watched it and thought about it but was just more curious than anything. Maybe a great deal. Maybe my comparrison was apples and oranes. Eric Quote
Norm's Coupe Posted April 28, 2007 Report Posted April 28, 2007 Eric, I think you were wise to not bid on those brakes. I just looked and everything was used in that auction. You can buy the ECI system new, or just about any other system we've talked about here for that kind of money brand new. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&viewitem=&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.ebay.com%3A80%2Fsearch%2Fsearch.dll%3Ffrom%3DR40%26satitle%3D280107189221%26fvi%3D1&item=280107189221 Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted April 28, 2007 Report Posted April 28, 2007 definitely not the kit I was talking about..this one has had the spindle hot wrenched out from the car...absolutely not worth that amount of money IMHO Quote
Don Coatney Posted April 28, 2007 Report Posted April 28, 2007 Looks like the owner of the car pictured in the auction has joined this forum. http://www430.pair.com/p15d24/mopar_forum/showthread.php?t=3119 Quote
