I still missed it...so what "is" wrong with the maroon chop top? You could fab new motor mounts for a flatty 6 for it and sell the bowtie mill if you want...or is it you just want a new toy to mess with?

As far as a new flatty 6, I'd lean you towards a 25" chrysler 265 motor simply for the displacement attraction...you know the ol saying..there's no replacement for displacemnt!

Frankly I'm waiting for two things to someday happen;

1- someone has an aluminum flatty 6 block cast with big bore holes and a slightly wider bottom end for wider rods{bolt clearance/added stroking}, lets toss in a forged crank while were at it..

2- someone putting "two" flatty 6's together to make a V-12

...it could happen!

BTW- didn't know the car "had a belly button"....

Some people call small block chevies belly button motors. As far as the frame goes its so much putting the flatty back in as much as the the air bag stuff. The rear of the frame has all of the mounting for the og suspension removed and i hacked all of the og mounting for the trans and motor out. Plus i am stoked to build a new chassis for the car.

dude, this car has such spot on lines. i fell out the first time i saw it on the HAMB. there's one sitting in a driveway around the corner from my shop and the first time i saw it i had a vision. your car has THOSE lines.

the roof is PERFECT for this body, the stance is dead nuts!

i would have left it alone, but you have your reasons...

keep it going. this is gonna be super once finished.

Hey bud thanks for the compliment! I love the stance it has and when I am done it will be a static not adjustable.and i am super happy about that. The frame swap has been along time coming and will take a while. I want to completely restore it and the running gear before it ever sees the car. Is the car by your shop a hardtop car?

Got it now, cause everybody has one....:D

Maybe sell the bagged frame, someone might want it and it'd be some cash to throw back in the new ride.

yea i have thought about that. and i have full intension to keep the car driving while i build the new chassis. it's funny i have a friend that has a 68 camaro rs/ss factory power windows and he has been a long time friend 20 years or so i am 36 to give you some idea anyway he wants to buy my motor and trans.so i might actually sell it too him and take his in part trade to keep my car on the road.

ok the donor is almost completely stripped.the frame looks great and looks to have already had alot of work done to it.and to further the confusion i am going to look at a 51 dodge hardtop tomorrow. if it pans out it will be a good car to put on the road and sell to fund dave and mines car.look for pics tomorrow.
