Thanks Carmen it doesnt pay to chrome a door handle buy nos ones, for cheaper. chroming small detailed parts isnt the best because a ton of detail is lost from pitting and from the stripping process of the chrome on the handles. ggdad1951 Posted February 29, 2012 Report Posted February 29, 2012 just got my first batch back from my local guy. All in all he did a terrific job I think. Quote
54Illinois Posted February 29, 2012 Report Posted February 29, 2012 What did he charge for the Dodge script? PM me if you want to keep it private. Quote
ggdad1951 Posted February 29, 2012 Report Posted February 29, 2012 that lot was $1200 for all the chroming and polishing of SS and nickle. Quote
Darbone85737 Posted February 29, 2012 Report Posted February 29, 2012 I do vintage motorcycle restorations and frquently use a chome plating shop here in Tucson. (Royal Plating) If you paid $ 1,200 to have just the parts pictured here plated/polished that job was incredibly expensive regardless of the quality. Just my opinion based on my experience. that lot was $1200 for all the chroming and polishing of SS and nickle. Quote
Bingster Posted February 29, 2012 Report Posted February 29, 2012 How much do you think your shop would have charged - ballpark? Quote
