Oil filter or no filter ?

My old filter has a "T" top knob. I have flexible tubing, may change that. Is there a preferance?

edit: I have since painted all that read black. It was just too much for my taste.

Flexible is fine if there is nothing wrong with them . Don't use copper tubing as it will crack with the vibration , you can use steel brake lines .

Jerry, I started a thread on the truck side "Things I wish I had known". Here is a good example (copper vs steel) of the many innuendos. Thank you.

While we're on the subject I'd like to sneak in a question. I noticed that it appears that the line to the oil gauge was straight down. Where is the line that goes into the filter?

I have 3 outlets in my block. I've got a picture somewhere. I can't find it now. I'll find it when I'm looking for something else.

I'm confused about 'in' 'out' 'gauge'.
