rockable Posted February 12, 2012 Report Posted February 12, 2012 Does anyone here have some extra 5/16" and 5/8" stereo balls for the seat glides? Also I need a RH side wiper transmission linkage for my 41, if someone has one. Thanks Rock Quote
garbagestate 44 Posted February 12, 2012 Report Posted February 12, 2012 You don't have to buy that many, This guy on Ebay has small quantities cheap. http://www.ebay.com/itm/5-Premium-5-8-Chrome-Steel-Balls-Bearing-Loose-G25-/180815866142?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a1977291e Quote
bamfordsgarage Posted February 12, 2012 Report Posted February 12, 2012 How 'bout balls like these? Our city recently completed the rehabilitation and widening of a river valley bridge — City policy calls for 1% of public works project funds to be spent on public art, so we blew about $600,000 on this stainless-steel ball sculpture commissioned from some outfit in California. Within several days an (also) ugly temporary fence was erected around the site to discourage local graffites who had been busy painting smiley faces on the balls. Quote
Don Coatney Posted February 12, 2012 Report Posted February 12, 2012 Before I buy 150 steel balls I would tell my doctor what medications I am taking then ask my doctor if steel balls are right for me:rolleyes: Quote

BobT-47P15 Posted February 13, 2012 Report Posted February 13, 2012 It says this fits a 41, plus other later models......on ebay. Quote
rockable Posted February 13, 2012 Author Report Posted February 13, 2012 Thanks, Bob. I'll need to look tonigh but I believe mine has a straight arm. Quote
HughForrest Posted February 13, 2012 Report Posted February 13, 2012 5/16" should be available cheap & easy at your local bicycle shop. The old "Ashtabula" 1-piece bottom brackets (Think 70's and earlier bikes of many kinds, and super-cheap modern bikes) use them. I sell them for by the each at my bike shop. Quote
rockable Posted February 13, 2012 Author Report Posted February 13, 2012 kudos to 58prostreet! He has balls!..............and he's going to send me some free of charge. Thanks a bunch! Quote

rockable Posted February 17, 2012 Author Report Posted February 17, 2012 It is a small world. Bob(58prostreet) and I just found out that we have a connection. His daughter Tracey, who I stay in touch with, worked for me when she first got out of college! I knew it when I saw the return address on the package that he sent me. How cool is that? Have you ever met someone on a forum and then discovered you had a real life connection? Quote
