Uncle-Pekka Posted December 30, 2011 Report Posted December 30, 2011 (edited) I just spotted the below image in the net: I suppose the red painting is just "a custom touch" by the owner, not factory made feature? Makes the Ram to stand out much better, though... This is apparently an Australian web site "Just Cars". http://www.justauto.com.au/justcars/know/news/e1e7b25a-d8a8-4fcb-be74-379638188c68 Edited December 30, 2011 by Uncle-Pekka Quote
Aussie D25 Posted December 30, 2011 Report Posted December 30, 2011 JustCars is the Australian version of the US "AutaBuy" magazine maybe not as thick though. We also have a prestige trader mag "Unique Cars" which features higher end restos, rods and exotics along with historical stories such as the one you linked. Unique Cars magazin served as a classic car restorers bible pre 1994 when the internet was introduced via netscape. Quote
RobertKB Posted December 30, 2011 Report Posted December 30, 2011 Not sure how different, but the hood ornament on my Canadian Dodge D25 is different from the one pictured and I believe different from the US Dodge D24. Anyway, I included a picture of it to show how I redid the red paint on it which I believe is how they came from the factory. There is also some red paint on the Dodge name tag and on the grille and signal light bezels. Quote
Reg Evans Posted December 30, 2011 Report Posted December 30, 2011 Here's an example of the Pilot House ornaments. Quote
windsor8 Posted December 30, 2011 Report Posted December 30, 2011 Don't know how "right" or "wrong" the red paint is but I like it. Quote
