It's exciting to hear about more of these great cars finding their way to the UK.

There'll be another P15 coming in very soon - It's a bit of a secret at the moment, but watch this space for news.

A few of us are now talking about organising a 'P15 Picnic' next spring/summer.

Just an informal get-together.

We will let the Dodge, Desoto and Chrysler boys join us... as long as they bring cake!!!

Let me know if you're interested (Robin@RockTheJoint.com)

shaun

Well after waiting two months to get my P15 the car is at the port here in the UK but i CANT pick it up cos its infested with Black Widow Spiders !!!!!! Now ive got to pay to have it fumigated and wait two more weeks !!!!!!

Posted

Same thing happened with Mickey's 48 Olds...

But nobody knew until it was at North American Motor Co in Hampshire, for some upgrades and repairs.

The guys went to go to work one day and all the spiders had hatched from under the seats!!!

Posted

I wish they hadnt of seen the spiders cos now the fumigation affects metal and kills copper therefore they expect severe damage to electrical motors/components ! Go !t to look for another way if there is one ! Help

Try calling Billy at North American and see if he can suggest anything.

Tell him Robin (from the Rhythm Riot) told you about Mickey's Olds.

Good luck.

...Sorry to hear about your problem with spiders.Do they not sell Raid "Spider Blaster" or a similar product where you are?

Put the car in a sea can and run the engine for an hour or two...should take care of spiders and anything else in the car.

Where did the spiders come from...the boat or SF?

Glad we don't get bugs and critters like that here...too damn cold! ;)

Hi guys, problem with the spiders is the guys at the docks wont unload my car from the container until the fumigation is done ! Anyway ive been to the UK National Exibition Centre yesterday where there is the end of season classic car show, saw a nice P15 Coupe, shame the owner wasnt there.

Hi everyone, well at last i found a way to upload pictures, with help from moparal. As you can now see, the old desoto from washington state had a little tin cancer, but now all that is a thing of the past, all to be recycled to the scrap bin. so ,now, i only have to alter the wiring to to 12 volt ,and a few other item to get it on the road.

looking forward to that,

regards,

shaun

Wow Shaun, nice floor job, mine is starting to show the ugly rust head, i thought it was only a small amount but its started to grow, Lol, yours is looking about the same stage as mine, will have to meet up come spring at one of the diner meets, Al

Great job on the floor.......btw regarding the fuel economy figures, US gallons aren't as big as Imperial gallons, so when those Yanks say 15-17 miles per gallon.........in the Commonwealth....lol.......that would be maybe 17-18 mpg..........andyd

At last, all the tin cancer has finally left the vehicle, i cut it out today and replaced it with nice new steel .1.2 mm cold rolled steel.
