Joe Flanagan Posted September 17, 2011 Report Posted September 17, 2011 Has anyone had to replace curved glass? In this case it's a windshield with a crack in it. I was just wondering how difficult/expensive it is. Thanks. Quote
oldmopar Posted September 17, 2011 Report Posted September 17, 2011 I have had vehicles around late 1990's - 2000 done for a about $300 but if its a older vehicle it depends on the what vehicle and if the windshield is currently avaiable Quote
JerseyHarold Posted September 17, 2011 Report Posted September 17, 2011 Just watch out for offshore windshields. The quality may not be as good as you'd want it to be. Quote
Joe Flanagan Posted September 17, 2011 Author Report Posted September 17, 2011 It's a 1956 Chevrolet pickup (3200, I think). Quote
RobertKB Posted September 17, 2011 Report Posted September 17, 2011 Check with your local windshield supplier. They usually have access to a continent wide data base. I believe there are some specialty windshield places on line for older vehicles also. I would go with the local guy first. Quote
Rusty O'Toole Posted September 17, 2011 Report Posted September 17, 2011 Not sure what you are driving at. Any auto glass shop should be able to replace it. Glass companies have the molds for windshields back to the fifties, if they have the mold they can make a windshield. Quote
