John Reddie Posted July 12, 2011 Report Posted July 12, 2011 I went to the Endicott Estate Auto Show and met Mark (My 48 Ruby) there. He is a nice pleasant guy with a sweet '48 P15 four door. His friend Henry was there also with his very nice '49 Dodge sedan. It was a fun day:). John R Quote

John Reddie Posted July 12, 2011 Author Report Posted July 12, 2011 Hey Mark, There is a show on Sunday, September 11 at the Endicott Estate. It is much smaller than the one last Sunday because it features cars up to and including 1942. Maybe I'll see you there. John R Quote

moose Posted July 12, 2011 Report Posted July 12, 2011 I'll put it on my calendar too, is this a show for stockers only or will they let in a hot rod? By the way John: I'm local now. We should meet up sometime. Quote
John Reddie Posted July 13, 2011 Author Report Posted July 13, 2011 Hey Moose, Sounds good. There is a nice car show at the Marshfield Fairgrounds in September on Labor Day weekend Sunday. You would like it. John R Quote

busycoupe Posted July 13, 2011 Report Posted July 13, 2011 The Bay State Antique Auto club is hosting 2 events at the Endicott Estate in Dedham on Sept. 11. The Veteran Car show mentioned above is for cars up to 1942. On the same field they are also hosting a "Chrome, Color and Fin show for cars of the 40's and 50's. I have attended the last two years and it is a good take. It is a much smaller crowd than the July Endicott show and attracts some really interesting cars. In 2009 3 Stanley Steamers showed up, all under their own power. Other cars included Packards, Cadillacs, Cord, several Woodies, Chrysler T&C, etc. I am in North Carolina now and unfortunately won't be able to get there this year. I hope that you Massachusetts guys can make it, it is a show that is not to be missed. Dave Quote
Mark D Posted July 13, 2011 Report Posted July 13, 2011 Thanks for the details Dave. Sounds like a great show. I'm actually partial to the 30's and 40's stuff, but won't pass up any car show. The estate is a great venue for this type of show and the club did a great job with the organizing and parking. I was amazed at the variety. It's a good thing I don't have room for another car, there where plenty to choose fromin the xr corral as well. Quote
