Some people figure that because they're rare and unique, they're worth a lot of money. They forget they're rare and unique because no one wanted or needed them in the first place. Cut the price in half and it becomes interesting and another thousand more and it becomes reasonable.

Only if nothing else remotely interesting is on and anymore I turn to a book at that point. Thye auction shows, same thing. Used to watch Paul, Sr and Jr. but got tired of watching bickering, yelling and destructive behavior. Back when they actually showed fabrication being done it was interesting to watch. Not now.

For as much as American Pickers are idiots and pretty much schills, I like seeing all the old stuff they find. Pawn Stars I made a game out of guessing what they will offer and counter offer, and again, seeing some pretty cool/odd/old stuff.
