I have heard that people have used krylon fusion spray paint with good results. If you do a google search there is a guy in Germany that has a good quality brush on paint (I'm sure someone will post it)

I have not seen the liquid white latex paint since I was a young man in the mid 50s, used on my 40 Ford Coupe, worked real good as long as you stayed off of the curbs. Used to buy at the Western Auto Store or the White Auto Store both of which have gone the way of so many things from my youth.

A friend used the regular cheap walmart paint on his and they looked good. I asked him about cleaning them he so far had just washed 'em with soap and water if they needed it he'd touch 'em up.

I used latex paint on my bike a few years ago and was very happy with it. The most important thing to remember when painting whitewalls is to clean the sidewall very thoroughly with with alcohol. If you scuff it up good and make sure it's very clean then it should stick. That said, mine did yellow a bit after only about a month and I never tried to get them back to a bright white because I liked the aged look that they got.

There are some out there trying white rubberized roof coating for houses with very promising results. It's very flexible so you don't have to worry about cracking and they say that it is easy to clean. I have not tried it yet but I am thinking about it.

You could also grind some whitewalls. I had some on a rat rod project and they looked great but very messy to make.
