41/53dodges Posted May 11, 2011 Report Share Posted May 11, 2011 hi everybody! i have all four original dogdish hubcaps for my truck, but they are mostly missing the back ring that actually holds them on due to rotting away. does anybody have any good ways to repair these? they have a relatively good face, so i would kinda like to save em'. im posting this on the car side too because your caps are kinda similar in design sometimes. thanks, josh Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
greg g Posted May 12, 2011 Report Share Posted May 12, 2011 As noted the hubcaps comprise two pieces, there were a couple vendors years back that sold new covers for hubcaps. Ie the shiney part. So the assembly can be seperated. So if you have good chrome hats and you can find some caps with decent inner pieces but not so good chrome pieces they could be switched with some careful metal work.
