woodie49 Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 Every year my wife and I go to a car show in Morro Bay on the Central Ca. Coast. One of our favorite places. This year we were going to take the Woodie, but I need to rebuild the generator before risking a 300 mile trip. Here are some pictures of Mopar metal that made the trip. The guy with the black '56(?) was actually able to source the original interior material for some portions that needed to be repaired. Very unusual pattern and a great look. Quote
YukonJack Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 I like the P15, just not sure about the color. Thanks for sharing. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 There's another P15 somewhere in this part of the country about the same type color. It's even been chopped a bit. Car from above.......... One from this area....... Quote
YukonJack Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 Just my opinion, but chopped tops don't look good on anything but 20's or 30's cars. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 Here's another chopped P15 seen at the 07 HAMB drags......they usually are just not proportioned quite right. Quote
Don Jordan Posted May 10, 2011 Report Posted May 10, 2011 How do you find out about these meets BEFORE they occur? Now that my car is road worthy I'd like to take it out and play. While this may sound silly I still get chills when someone says, "Hey, nice car." It's sort of like when they say "Hey, nice dog." I didn't really have much to do with it but the recognition is nice,. Quote
Niel Hoback Posted May 10, 2011 Report Posted May 10, 2011 That 56 made me talk to myself. What a beauty. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted May 10, 2011 Report Posted May 10, 2011 Don, There should be some website(s) in your area listing upcoming shows and cruise-ins. You just have to do some looking to find them. Might search for something like "car shows in the XXXXX area", or "southern California car show schedule". Often at one event, people come around and put flyers for their upcoming show in your front seat. At least, they do that here.......so when you leave, you have a few things to possibly attend later. If you are in Southern California, here is a site that lists practically everything going on. http://www.socalcarculture.com/ I'll put in another plug for the car show i am involved with... http://www.hbconcours.org/ Also, this Sunday there is a Woodies show at Ports O' Call.
