chopt50wgn Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 Heres a few pics of my 50 Ply wagon with the Heidts IRS and new Fatman front suspension. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 you going all out...planning on racing this beast when done...there be a lot of coin represented in those few pictures..makes me think if I had your money I could just burn mine...lol Quote
chopt50wgn Posted April 28, 2011 Author Report Posted April 28, 2011 No racing is anticipated. I had a pro-street Dart ,a 10 sec street car. Sold it about 18 months ago. This car is going to be a driver with power steering, brakes, stereo, heater and 3.0 gears in the rear hope to get about 15-20 MPG, where the Dart got 4-5. The money being put in this is the money I got from selling the Dart and since this will be my last all out build, I'm doing it the way I want. Quote
dezeldoc Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 Might ride a little stiff with those "springs" in it! Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 (edited) Doing it the way you want is definitely the way to go...be happy...like you, I do like my modern creature comforts..my Suburban hopefully will in the future assume daily driver status, at least that is the plan..nice, dependable and yet not be afraid to park it and go into the grocery store... dezeldoc..stiff, factory springs on the Suburbans sport 9 leaves..combined weight of 500 pounds on the rear bumper of mine yielded about 1/2 compression..not sure of the "wagon" ride this pup will have..but they staying stock..like the original profile Edited April 28, 2011 by Tim Adams Quote
chopt50wgn Posted April 28, 2011 Author Report Posted April 28, 2011 we set the chassis at ride height with the struts and will put in the coilovers in front and rear when I am done and ready to take on its first ride. Quote
dezeldoc Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 I thought maybe you were going to run bags, the rear looks like a jag based set up, i like the long trailing arms to let it articulate and get a better ride than with short arms. Quote
