CHCustoms Posted April 10, 2011 Report Posted April 10, 2011 I am trying to get my 47 D24 started! It sat for 20+ before I got my hands on it. Replace plugs, cables, coil, condensor, distributor cap and rotar, battery and cables. I am pretty sure I have the plugs set right but I can't find the timing mark. (too rusted to see it) Any suggestions???? Quote
H Suhling Posted April 10, 2011 Report Posted April 10, 2011 Bring #1 cylinder to TDC on compression stroke, bug in distributor should be pointing to 7'o'clock position then make a mark under your pointer. Should give you a starting point. Harvey Quote
Don Coatney Posted April 10, 2011 Report Posted April 10, 2011 (too rusted to see it) Any suggestions???? Use a wire brush and clear the rust. Quote

greg g Posted April 15, 2011 Report Posted April 15, 2011 You probably should put your future posts in the general P15 D24 section. Welcome, looks like a good solid car. Quote
