aero3113 Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 Here are some pics of the car show I went to today. It was cold, about 31 deg but the turn out was good. I was sitting in my car finishing lunch and Michael Warsaw walked up to my car and introduced himself to me. It was nice to meet him in person, very nice guy. This one is for Rodney Quote

P-12 Tommy Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 Great pics! A friend of mine when I was stationed in upper Michigan had a gold '57 Studebaker just like that one. I used to make beer runs with it. Tom Quote
aero3113 Posted March 28, 2011 Author Report Posted March 28, 2011 nice car and a super nice guy, the car show was nice but freezing. Yes,very cold. I was supposed to meet up with a friend who has a road runner and a new Challenger (not sure what he was gonna bring) but was too cold and tired of waiting. When I got home he called and told me he was 10 minutes away,it always works out that way. We are going to try and meet up at Flowerfield on April 17th. Quote
Al B. Bach Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 Any idea what the bike is? It looks like an old Whizzer but I'm not sure. I have a newer Whizzer that I have souped up to the point that I can get almost 55 out of. I love old motor bikes! Thanks for the pictures! Carl Quote
captden29 Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 aero, i am from L.I., mastic beach. moved to north carolina 2 years ago.i probably have passed by you somewhere in the crowds at some of the shows. i have been to flowerfield many times as that is my favorite show. i just like the location and the vendors can sometimes have something i need or want. i have a 54 chrysler, an original car, just a driver. i never go into the judging as my car cannot compete with the beautiful cars there. i still own my house in ny and will be up during the summer. i will find out when the flowerfield shows are and plan my trip to be there. i will look for your car. i have only been to belmont once. i believe it is usually a 2 day show. dennis Quote

I found the one pictured in an antique store a few years back. Can you post a picture of your new one? That actually looks like the model right before the NE5 which is what I have. They have one called the Ambassador out now that I would love to get my hands on. I haven't gotten mine out yet this year so sorry about the dirt. I need to work on the rear fender mount before I can ride again this year but, weather permitting, I'll try to get it out and started this week. I ported the exhaust and intake as well as removed the baffels. I then applied some of what I have learned from lawn mower racing to the carb and now she really screams. You have to hear it run because that single cylinder popping through a straight pipe is a thing of beauty. http://woodstockwhizzer.com/ambassador.htm Later, Carl Quote
Jim Shepard Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 The Golden Hawk reminds me of the one my Dad had back in Wichita when I got my driver's license. Dad's was a '57 with a Paxton supercharger, three speed with overdrive and a dash that looked like it came out of a fighter plane. I got my license in July and my first speeding ticket in September. Needless to say, Dad got rid of the Studie... Quote
