rickyracer1962 Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 Hey guys. I'm working on a 1948 coupe. It was in an accident, and i think the steering column got moved or something and messed up the shift linkage. Can somebody take a picture of their shift linkage coming off the column for me? I need to see what it is supposed to look like compared to mine. My car wont go into reverse or first gear right now. It has a 3 speed overdrive transmission from i think a 1951 Chrysler. It all worked before the accident. I think the lever that activates reverse & first is bent away from the steering column, there isn't anything to push that lever???? Has anybody ever converted one of these to a floor shift? thanks for any help! RIck Quote
thrashingcows Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 Well here's the linkage on my 48 fluid drive...but other then the length of the rods everything else should be the same. Quote
