Young Ed Posted December 22, 2010 Report Posted December 22, 2010 COOL a model like that is probably as close as most of us will get to one of those. They are pretty rare. I've seen a couple pictures of them but never one in real life. Quote
49 Dodge Dude Posted December 22, 2010 Report Posted December 22, 2010 This was under the tree this morning Neat! I'd love to find a model of mine, but I just cannot seem to find anyone who's made or sells a '49 Dodge Quote

Young Ed Posted December 22, 2010 Report Posted December 22, 2010 Reg thats a cool panel. However his model looks more like a screen side. Quote
Reg Evans Posted December 22, 2010 Report Posted December 22, 2010 You are right Ed. No hump up over the back. Quote
Young Ed Posted December 22, 2010 Report Posted December 22, 2010 For those that don't know a screen side is kind of an odd combination of a panel and a pickup. The roof is all wood and finished on the inside like a panel. But instead of having steel sides after the doors its open and there's a box. Then there are screens that come down to attach to the top of the box to enclose the truck. They were intended for street side vendors to be able to open up to sell stuff and then close for traveling. Quote
