41/53dodges
got a few questions on dual exhausts before i embark on any big project. first of all, is it really worth the time to make it? i was debating just welding one up out of stainless, seeing as i have the resources. the other question: what does it do to the starting, run-ability, and fuel economy? thanks, josh. Dan Babb
There was a good post over at the HAMB within the last week about converting your stock exaust manifold to dual exhaust and keeping the heat riser (if you want to do that). Try a search over there. I think it was about a chevy 235 inline 6, but the process would be the same. It was a good discussion about how to split the manifold too. I think many were suggesting the it's a 4/2 split...not 3/3. That might have to do with firing order...so do your research before you make up your own manifold. Young Ed
I think the 4/2 split thing has to do with the arrangement of the chevy intake and the room available to do the split.
