Can you give us some differences Rodney, I know on my 47 d24 the hood ornament became more refined and tires went from 16s to 15s mid year, but basically the car is the same for 46-48.

Did the p15 have interior changes? They must be subtle.

How is the fit of the repro tail light assemblies and brake light? Can yo just throw away the innards and use the oem components instead? So you are just using the bezels and gaskets?

Folks,

In 1975 a friend worked at a Chevy parts house and he assembled (on paper) a '75 Chevy that sold new for $5,000. It would have cost $35,000 buying the parts one by each, so this is nothing new.

The conversation is even more aplicable now. I have been chopping at the bit to get a 1930-31 model AV8. I wanted to build it from scratch. I friend of mine has been a bodyman since he and I were 15 years old. he did this by trade and was one of the first hotrodders I had ever known, he had a 29 model A when the rest of us had muscle cars.

Well I went to see acouple of coupe bodies, just the bodies no fenders or tunk lid, hood. They wanted 5,000 for just a body that needed. It turned me off from wanting one. I refused to be used by the hobby

I paid $450 for my car. The car came with all the stainless and polished would sell for more than what I paid for the car. Not to mention the drivetrain. Interior parts etc. I dont keep exact track of the parts I put on the car (I dont want to know) If someone asks I just add up the big stuff and say about X amount. It really doesnt matter as long as I am having fun with the car.

This is what I purchased. The morning I got it home.
