Fernando Mendes Posted October 6, 2010 Author Report Posted October 6, 2010 Seeing this video I thought two questions:1)Hand or hydraulic brake? 2)Carburetor original(inverted) or adapted? Quote
TodFitch Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 Seeing this video I thought two questions:1)Hand or hydraulic brake? 2)Carburetor original(inverted) or adapted? Looks like mechanically actuated externally contracting bands on drums located on the chain drive sprockets on the frame. You can see how the chain changes position based on braking down the ramp or driven. The whole engine area looks very non-stock to my uneducated eyes. Looks like there might be a radiator out in front. I believe those early Mack trucks had the radiator by the cowl, and this truck has one there too. Suspect the engine was swapped out for the original and the new engine was plumbed for a forward radiator. Quote
