55 Fargo Posted August 13, 2010 Report Posted August 13, 2010 Hey all, decided to take my High School Mechanic Class Jacket out of it's resting place today. The leather is getting stiff, needs some treatment or something, will not wear as it is getting to be vintage. Here is a pic of the jacket, circa 1978............ Quote
jd52cranbrook Posted August 14, 2010 Report Posted August 14, 2010 Put some saddle soap on it and wear it, thats what leather is for,,, Quote
55 Fargo Posted August 14, 2010 Author Report Posted August 14, 2010 Thanx JD, it is a tad small in the shoulders and chest, I am a lucky one because I have not gained all that much weight or mid section growth since that time......Fred Quote
1950 Special Deluxe Posted August 14, 2010 Report Posted August 14, 2010 I am very happy to say mine are too big. After you leave home, when are you supposed to wear them? You can't wear them out to the pubs, it shows you are underage.:) Pretty good, since they are 27 years old. Quote
jd52cranbrook Posted August 14, 2010 Report Posted August 14, 2010 I can understand that Rockwood. I am one of the unlucky ones and did gain in the midsection. I never did have a jacket or sweater though, just the block letter. Don't remember why I didn't get them. Probably to costly for me and my family back then. I still have it,, plus the JV letter too.
