richards47deluxe Posted August 11, 2010 Report Posted August 11, 2010 Was looking for parts for my 1947 Special Deluxe Club Coupe on Craigs list when I saw an add for a 1947 Plymouth for $800.00. The picture showed the front end and grill to be in good shape and I thought, trade material for parts for my coupe. Called the number, got the address and went to take a peek. Well, it took me about 10 minutes to tell the guy at the impound yard "I'll take it" I asked him how much time I had to get it out because I needed to borrow a trailer from a friend and he said he would have his driver deliver it!!! Got it home, and the next day got it running. Adjusted the tappets this last Sunday and the dang thing sounds great! All complete but desperately needs interior to be done. I thought this was a good find. Quote

David Maxwell Posted August 11, 2010 Report Posted August 11, 2010 Did the baseball bat come with it? lol:) Quote
richards47deluxe Posted August 11, 2010 Author Report Posted August 11, 2010 Thanks for the comments. Excluding the upholstery, most of the work will involve a lot of elbow grease and I guess I will throw a sanding party, which will include a few tri-tips and maybe a cold beer. Will need a front and rear window crank and hood ornament plastic. Quote
richards47deluxe Posted August 11, 2010 Author Report Posted August 11, 2010 Oh, and no, the bat didn't come with it, ha ha ha. The radiator in the pic is for my coupe. Going to pick up the rebuilt motor for that one on Monday. Quote
