JoelOkie Posted July 23, 2010 Report Posted July 23, 2010 (edited) I think it's a 37, as it looks like the 37 Plymouth I have. The guy is asking 2 grand for it. This is the pickup I stopped to look at as a possibility for a parts truck for my Plymouth pickup ( for which I am not able to pay 2k, which is considerably more than I paid for my own truck), that ultimately lead to me finding the 36 Plymouth Sedan back in the tall Johnson grass , which I was able to afford:) The Dodge truck has what looks to me like a Ford engine shoe horned into it (cobbled is the term Mr. Don Coatney might use) maybe a 302. (Dig the twin stack exaust pipes). Otherwise, It looks to be fairly complete. Even has some cargo in the bed that I'm sure he could be talked in to throwing in on the deal:rolleyes: It was last tagged in 73. If it happened anyone was seriously interested I would go back and see the guy about getting the best deal to be had in their behalf for them for the truck. JoelOkie Posted July 24, 2010 Author Report Posted July 24, 2010 Quite the truck, Fernando! I like it. The stance looks familiar also, I bet I know what is under the sheet metal. Joel Quote
Flatie46 Posted July 24, 2010 Report Posted July 24, 2010 Joel, look at this AFTER pic. There would be alot of $$$$$$$$ between the before and after. Seems like alot for it but I don't know maybe it'll bring that much to the right person. Quote

No doubt..a lot of money and a lot of work for someone, still, if someone has been looking specifically for that make and model, it is probably as good as what a lot of guys start with. If I did not already have the Plymouth pickup (in about the same shape in most aspects) I might be working on seeing what the bottom dollar might be. I'll be keeping a watch on it, if it doesn't sell right away there's no telling what it might be bought for later. Joel Quote
Flatie46 Posted July 24, 2010 Report Posted July 24, 2010 Yea, if he'd come down a bit and it was just a bunch of surface rust and not many holes. Might not be too bad, I know the older they get the harder it is to find a good one especially in a truck. Sometimes showing the cash will drop the price, a bird in the hand is worth more than two in the bush. Quote
