Wind wing assembly

If possible, can someone please post an exploded view of the windwing assembly on the door as soon as possible. I'm having the rubber and some glass installed in my car tomorrow and the installer needs to see the order of operations to install this. Although I kept all the pieces in a labeled baggy, I don't remember how they go back in, since I took them out a few months back and my lame manual doesn't show how to do it. Thanks!

I just installed a new garnish moulding on my P-15. Unfortunately I did't take any pics. I do remember the order of how the pieces go though.

Where the squared shaft of the window assembly goes there is a slot on the bottom of the garnish moulding frame. One of the eccentric spacers and a washer with a hole large enough for the square shaft to go through go in the slot, with the eccentic part towards the front. Slip the shaft through and then the other eccentric spacer and spring with another washer below the nut. Adjust the tension on the spring to make it so the wing won't flop around in a heavy wind and be able to open without to much pressure.

Wellll.....I thought it was a picture of the front door wing....but is the rear quarter glass instead. After looking in both the parts and repair books, there is no picture of the front wing assembly. But I do know there is a spring that goes under there, between the window frame and the nut to create tension. It works similar to the picture of the rear window, but a little different. Wish there had been a pic of the front one. I had an actual front wing unit at one time, but sent it to someone a while back.

Thanks, Bob! With that exploded view and Bob W's explanation, I'm sure we can figure out how it goes. Strange they never made a view of the wind wing to go with that garnish.

I'm going to disassemble my wind wings for painting. Because of the hassles you've had I'm going to photograph each step and post them on the bucket. Or don't wait and then print the pics when you can and see if the mechanic did it right. Hope it helps you; I know it won't do me any harm.

Randy...I have postponed having the installer to do the wind wings for now so I'll look forward to your pics. He's just doing the windshield, driver's glass and back window.

There is a picture of the front Vent Wing too in the parts book. I used it when I had mine out.

Oh no don't do that... If you shot him you'll just make him mad.

There are only a few parts for the entire assembly and the installation is quite logical. Install the new rubber first, then put the cam and the washer on the stud. Slide the window into position and install the washer, spring, and nut, in that order. Screw the top bracket in place and you're done.
