Jeff Ivan Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 I have seen aftermarket phonographs installed in cars at cruises and shows. I did not realize Chrysler offered it as an option in the 1950's. A friend sent me this link, this website may be of interest to some folks here http://crave.cnet.com/8301-1_105-9687999-1.html?tag=head Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 and you think changing a tape or cd or tuning a radio while driving is dangerous...while nostalgic and a subject of conversation at a cruise in or show...have zero interest in one of these..anyone need an eight tract tape player...????????????? just as antiquated. It is one of the toys that separate most the owner of "restored" period perfect vehicles... Quote
Lee Exline Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 Yet another website that "borrowed" images form my website with no credit! I have had my site up with information on Highway HIFI record player information on it since 2000. Here is a picture of Lawrence Welk in his 56 Dodge loading a record in the player. Here is my website! At one point I had three NOS players and all 42 records that were ever available (most NOS) and dealer test records. I sold the collection for $12K Quote
1just4don Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 Going 60mph down a gravel wash board road with the dust so thick a knife cant cut it,,,obviously NOT built for our local roads!!! Even now their is a seemed mandated 4 mudholes per mile,,,they grade the road and the mudholes only get deeper cause it is wet down there!!! Once its there is doent disappear readily!!And they make NO effort to fix, just pick up the blade and ride over or grade muck out and making it deeper!!(and hold MORE water and get deeper yet). When the ditch gets a foot higher than the road, where ya spose the water runs!!??? Quote
