DonaldSmith
Breaking news! I was on my way to Ypsilanti for the show, and got two blocks from home, when I got the messaage via the DeSoto Club secretary that the show was canceled. Darn! My guess is that the park got flooded out. I feel for those who stayed in a hotel overnight. They are probably hanging out somewhere commiserating. So I don't get to see Lakota and that Alice car. Maybe they'll re-schedule it, but they may not have a free weekend at that park. Stay tuned.
Charlie Olson
I really like Orphan Car Shows. October, 2008, PLYWOOD won a "MOST WOOD" homemade, handmade wooden trophy, 5"x5"x3", of a 1920's generic style cabriolet coupe. So far, it is my favorite trophy for PLYWOOD. At that particular Orphan Car Show, I saw vehicles I didn't even know existed. My favorite was a very pristine 1937 Hudson Terraplane pickup. You can Google Image search Hudson Terraplane and see several.
48P15Annie
We pulled up in Annie at the driveway and they told us...about half the park or more was totally flooded.

DonaldSmith
I just received the news - the Orphan Car Show in Ypsilanti, Michigan, home of Kaiser-Fraser, Tucker, etc., is re-scheduled for September 26th! I hope it is not preceded by monsoon rains again.

Their motto is "Haven't lost a basement or cistern yet."
