Guest MAR-Ktech Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 MAR-K Specialized Mfg is looking for a few good old Dodge trucks so that we can do some research. They need to be in the OKC metro area where we can drive to see the truck and take pictures or if you happen to be driving through and want to stop by, that's OK too. These need to be original trucks with original parts. They can even be old trucks put out to pasture. Specifically we need to see the beds of the following trucks: Dodge 39-47 Short and Long Dodge 48-52 Short and Long Dodge 53-60 Short and Long Dodge 61-65 1st Short and Long Dodge 65 2nd-71 Short and Long If you can be any help in this matter feel free to reply to the post or you can email me at webmaster@mar-k.com or call our office 405-721-7945. Thanks so much for your support! Quote
Bob_Koch Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Here's a great opportunity to help all of us. People like Mar-K can only help supply us with some of the restoration parts we need if we provide trucks to them for measurements and photos. If you're in the area I encourage you to contact them. Young Ed Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Wish I was close enough to help. The strips and floor in my truck came from Mar-k. Quote
Jim Gaspard Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 I have a B3B driver with the all in original shape, but I'm in the OKC suburb of Dallas. Is that too far out? Jim B3B in Dallas Quote
Guest MAR-Ktech Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Thanks for the posts. And that is a nice looking bed! Jim - we have sent you an email. Contact us when you have time. Thanks for all the information and keep it coming! Quote
Big50Dodge Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 dodgepu1946 - that bed looks good.. but that tailgate has definately been around the block... at least once. had a front bed panel look slightly worse than that, when my co-pilot said "turn here" one day looking for a parts car on a project he was doing. My tool box was in the bed of my truck and between the brakes and turning, the front bed panel took the brunt of the banging. Being older (wiser is still up for debate) now, I can look back and say, we should have cruised by, turned around, and come back. What's the car in upper right hand corner of that photo ? Wide whites & sweeping fenders... what I can see looks good. Quote
Young Ed Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Sadly the bed floor is the nicest part of that box. Some PO was being cheap and didn't paint the inside of the box at all. My truck is red and the spray paint I tried to match it with came out orange. The truck on the left is my 94 dakota. Through the windshield is a 63 falcon conv and the car in the driveway is a 39 plymouth roadkind 2dr touring sedan. I'm actually parked in front of the neighbors house. Those other cars were my dads and that's his place. Quote
