greg g Posted March 31, 2010 Report Posted March 31, 2010 Anybody going to Rhinebeck 1st weekend in May. Dutchess County Fairgrounds, Rhinebeck, NY Rods and Customs Saturday Antiques and Classics Sunday, Swap meet both days. http://rhinebeckcarshow.com/ Quote
JerseyHarold Posted April 1, 2010 Report Posted April 1, 2010 I may do a one-dayer if I can find someone to go with. We've usually gone as a family, but my wife and kids have other committments this year. Quote
randroid Posted April 1, 2010 Report Posted April 1, 2010 Greg, I've wanted to go to Rhinebeck for years and this year will, unfortunately, be another year of wanting. Rhinebeck airport is second only to Oshkosh for EAA meets (experimental aircraft) and there's always something going on around there. It could be a very full weekend. One of these days... but not this one. Deep sigh. -Randy Quote
1940plymouth Posted April 1, 2010 Report Posted April 1, 2010 As of now, I plan on being there on Sunday Quote
greg g Posted April 24, 2010 Author Report Posted April 24, 2010 Anybody else planning to attend, its next weekend. Quote
greg g Posted April 24, 2010 Author Report Posted April 24, 2010 Anybody else thinking of attending? Bringing the car Bob?? One weekend away. Quote
GeorgeLeonard Posted April 25, 2010 Report Posted April 25, 2010 The website says that it is open on Friday as well as Saturday and Sunday. Is it worthwhile to go on Friday? Or is that just a vendor setup day? What is the price of admission? Thanks Quote
greg g Posted April 25, 2010 Author Report Posted April 25, 2010 I have only ever been on Sunday, but the site does list swap hours on Friday. Quote
JerseyHarold Posted April 25, 2010 Report Posted April 25, 2010 I don't have the time to devote to Rhinebeck this year, but I am planning to go to the AACA meet in Florham Park, NJ on Sunday. It's closer to home and this is the 59th annual show, so it might be interesting. Quote
GeorgeLeonard Posted April 25, 2010 Report Posted April 25, 2010 The website says that it is open on Friday as well as Saturday and Sunday. Is it worthwhile to go on Friday? Or is that just a vendor setup day? What is the price of admission? Thanks Well, it indicates that the price of admission on Friday is the same as Saturday and Sunday. So it means to me that there must be some kind of a show on Friday or else they wouldnt be able to get away with charging the same admission price. Does that make sense to anyone besides me? Quote
1940plymouth Posted April 25, 2010 Report Posted April 25, 2010 I may be mistaken, but I honestly don't think there will be much there on Friday except the vendors setting up. To be it would be a waste of time to attend on Fridays unless you want a first hand chance to look for parts before the crowds get there on the weekend. My thoughts Quote
greg g Posted April 25, 2010 Author Report Posted April 25, 2010 Mayhaps an e mail to the person linked on the website might furnish the correct information. This section from the web page aoucement seems to idicate toward the positive SWAP MEET & CAR SHOWS Friday : @ Noon Swap Meet Starts Saturday: Rods & Customs Sport Compacts/Pickups Sunday: Antiques & Classics Craft Building All Weekend Quote
