My D25 has a Stromberg BXV-3 on it that needs a kit (out of production or too much $$$). I would like to get an original type Carter to put on it. Does anyone know the Carter model numbers that would bolt up? I'm guessing the fittings and linkage locations are probably the same on the D25 as P-15 & D24 ? Thanks!

Do you have the original one??? I can give the e-mail address of a person who deals in old carberators and he can supply you with a rebuild kit. The BVX-3 is built to work with a fluid drive and I would think that you might just stay with it.

No, I don't have the original carb, which I'm guessing was a Carter. I have a 3spd manual trans (no fluid drive) in a '48 D25. The engine is a '53 Ply 228 (bored to 237) Thanks!

Hi,Welcome to the forum. Thanks for posting the link for the Carter info. What stage is your 1946 Plymouth, (on the road) - had it for awhile ?

Thanks for th welcome. I've had it about a year. Have had it on the road, but having a minor fuel supply problem problem and hate cold weather, so waiting for a couple of warm days to deal with it...lol. I am putting it up for sale. Details and more pics just posted under cars for sale. I am actually wanting opinions on value as it seems they are across the board on cars I see for sale. Looks like you have been here awhile...maybe you could check the thread and give me your opinion. Other than details listed there, it could use some new flat glass..couple of cracks, bubbles....

...Hi,Had a look at the photos, looks okay. You know what you have into the car and your reason for selling.Only opinion I have is, if your price is reasonable, the car will sell. :)
