greg g Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 I caught a segment of the Two guys garage where they were talking about body work and paint prep. He was going through the guy's body work tool box and pulled out a bunch of stuff that he used for sanding difficult curves and contours. The pieces of sand paper backing stuff raged from several pieces of different diameter pipe insulation, to a folded over and duct taped phone book. Ting in between were pieces of polystyrene tubing, a ruler, some high density foam, a tennis ball, and others. I have had use for some sections of heater hose, a piece of broken Frisbee, a section of stair handrail, a small wiffle ball bat. a water filled 1 qt oil contaier, and coupe of other odds and ends. Just another reason to never throw any thing out. Quote

Using the long board does not work in all situations, different shaped blocks for many contours, even sand paper and and fingertips at times.....Fred Quote
