Young Ed Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 It was all experimental and I doubt any are in the public hands except for a small handful of the mid 60s turbine cars. Quote
Jim Yergin Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 We label "off topic" threads with OT. I think this one should be labeled "TIC" (tongue in cheek). Jim Yergin Quote

1940plymouth Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 He has atleast one, there was an article in the "Plymouth Bulletin" about Jay and his Turbine Quote
Young Ed Posted January 13, 2010 Report Posted January 13, 2010 Jay only has the one. There are a couple others in private hands/museums though Quote
Rollie Posted January 13, 2010 Report Posted January 13, 2010 The National Museum of Transportation here in St. Louis houses the first restored '63 Chrysler turbine car. It has made the car show rounds for some time now. I've seen it run @ Monster Mopar Weekend here in St. Louis numerous times, it sounds like a vacuum cleaner when it runs, really neat car. Quote
Johnny 5 Posted January 13, 2010 Report Posted January 13, 2010 I saw one in a Mopar magazine article in the 90's. They said it would run on virtually any fuel. It's cool but definitely made of 'unobtainium'. Quote
