BobT-47P15 Posted February 9, 2007 Report Posted February 9, 2007 On ebay. Just found them using a different search. Link to the ad. Seem to have for all models. http://item.express.ebay.com/1947-47-Plymouth-Carpet-2-door-Business-Coupe-Carpet_W0QQitemZ200020445150QQihZ010QQcmdZExpressItem Quote
Young Ed Posted February 9, 2007 Report Posted February 9, 2007 That doesn't seem like too bad a price. I couldn't get the color chart to come up though. It just showed his other auctions. Didn't someone post this persons direct website a while back? Quote
bob_amos Posted February 9, 2007 Report Posted February 9, 2007 Try this link to JC Whitney for their carpets. I have purchased a number of carpet sets over the years from them amd they were all great buys and good products. I now am an Acme dealer so I purchase from them for customers cars I work with. But ya can't beat the Whitney sets. Made by a major maker of carpets for years. www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/Product/tf-Browse/s-10101/Pr-p_Product.CATENTRY_ID:2007230/p-2007230/N-111+1948+200729068+600015086/c-10101 Quote
Jeff.P_46 Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 EZ Boy is suppose to be pretty good. There was a write up on a interior package in Street Rodder a month or 2 ago and it looked like a good kit and a easy install. Jeff Quote
bob westphal Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 I installed a headliner from EZ Boy. Great quality for the money! The only problem with it is the stupid installer - ME! Quote
47heaven Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 The carpet is good, if you have a 50's-70's Plymouth, but wouldn't be period correct in a 30's -40's Plymouth. Quote
Norm's Coupe Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 The carpet may not be period correct, but IMHO it looks 100% better than the original black rubber mat. Guess it's just a matter of opinion. I have the same carpet in my P15 coupe and it looks great to me. Doesn't really matter unless you are going to a judging event for all original. In any other car show, it would probably give you more points. Quote
AJ Johnson Posted February 11, 2007 Report Posted February 11, 2007 I bought some carpet from them just a few weeks ago. I haven't had a chance to install it. It looks almost identical to the stock carpet in the car (except new). The only thing that I noticed is that the heel pad on the carpet looks a bit cheap. I let you all know how the install goes. Hopefully I can get to it tomorrow. I have to finish tiling the kitchen for the wife first. AJ Quote

Normspeed Posted February 11, 2007 Report Posted February 11, 2007 My 53 has an older poorly fitted replacement black mat up front. I'f like to go with some nice dark grey carpet but frankly the car leaks, around the cowl vent, the windshield, and I can see daylight around the upper door seals. There's always some water on the mat after I wash the car, but in my climate it dries up fast. (It never rains in Southern California) I'm balancing the low replacement cost of new carpet vs putting up with the utilitarian rubber mat. Still undecided. Quote
Norm's Coupe Posted February 11, 2007 Report Posted February 11, 2007 Norm...don't say that. I just got an original black rubber mat for it. LOL! Darin, Nothing against the rubber floor mats. They just aren't for me. It's like spotlights. They look good on other peoples cars, but I don't want them on my car. Don't like that control arm sticking out inside the car. Even as kids, first thing we did after getting a different car was to put some carpet over the rubber mats. By the way, your dash looks good. Quote
