Dan Babb Posted October 9, 2009 Report Posted October 9, 2009 I was under the truck and it looks like the emergency brake cable isn't attached to the verticle bracket correctly. Can anyone post a picture showing how the cable should attach to the bracket at the side of the transmission? I have a 3 speed with the shifter on the steering column if that makes a difference. Dan Babb Posted October 10, 2009 Author Report Posted October 10, 2009 Close. In the bottom picture, lower right corner....if the camera were about 6 inches to the right, it would be perfect. I want to see where the cable hooks into the bracket. I can see the threaded rod where yours is going through the bracket. I know mine isn't right and just want to see how it all connects. Quote
oldmopar Posted October 10, 2009 Report Posted October 10, 2009 here is a view from the parts manual Quote
Merle Coggins Posted October 10, 2009 Report Posted October 10, 2009 I don't have a picture of it, but there is a bracket attached to the bottom bell housing / clutch cover. The cable has to go through this bracket and a horseshoe clip holds in in place. The other bracket shown in the parts breakdown picture only holds the cable away from the exhaust system. It attaches to the frame in the engine compartment. Merle Quote
