Don Jordan Posted August 18, 2009 Author Report Posted August 18, 2009 My daughter blew a head gasket on a 99 Blazer. I figured how hard could it be to swap out a head gasket. I couldn't get the plugs out. Took me an afternoon to get one valve cover off. I finally gave up and took it to a mechanic. They get $85 @ hr!! and I have to admit it was worth it. What's it going to be like with these hybrids? I can't even imagine how you would work on something like that. I go to the car show in LA (CA) every year and the cars are getting so complicated. Give me a flathead any day. How would you trick out an electric car? Technology is passing me by. Quote

Dennis Hemingway Posted August 18, 2009 Report Posted August 18, 2009 trick out an electric car..similar to a computer..overclock it...and push the juice.. You would have to play a recording of a Flat 6 running, like this one Arthur1947 did, and mount speakers under the car so it would be heard.. Dennis:cool: Quote
