Where's reverse gone???

my 48 Windsor is a darling but getting her into reverse is a lottery..about a 14,000,000 chance first time

any tips,advice,adjustments??

I would say it is in the shifting rod adjustment.

loosen the shifting rod nut 1 turn.

or tighten it , i forget!

My trans leaks and I know to check it when it starts to get hard to shift into reverse.

I had the same problem when I first got my 50 Plymouth. I adjusted the linkage and now shifts into reverse great. If you have a manual it explanes how to make the adjustment.
