Dennis Hemingway Posted August 9, 2009 Author Report Posted August 9, 2009 Hey Dennis some real nice cars there, being at Big Bear, did it give you some cooler temps, a little break from the Mojave heat..... It sure did it was 34F when I left the condo to go to the show yesterday and it was 37F This morning when we went to watch the awards be given out, sure glad that we put our jackets in at the last minute. 47heaven Posted August 10, 2009 Report Posted August 10, 2009 Man, this would have been a great show to go to, but 34 F in Big Bear...in August? Quote
55 Fargo Posted August 10, 2009 Report Posted August 10, 2009 Darrin, that must be an early morning temp, that is cool, as it does not get anywhere this low in my part of Canada this time of the year. Being ii'ts up in the mountains, would be the reason for the cool overnight temps, here it may get down to 55 at night this time of the year, but normal is about 60 to 64......Fred Quote
Dennis Hemingway Posted August 10, 2009 Author Report Posted August 10, 2009 The 34F temp was at 7AM on Saturday, right now 6AM Monday it is 39F. The highs have been in the mid 70's. I don't know if I want to go back down the mountian as they say it's going to be in the triple digets at home. Well I think I'll go drown some worms. Dennis;) Quote
55 Fargo Posted August 10, 2009 Report Posted August 10, 2009 Dennis how's the fishin, gonna be fishin for Greenbacks" AKA Walleye, soon,as they migrate back from the Lake into the Red River in early fall, world class size up to 16 lbs. Grandadeo Posted August 23, 2009 Report Posted August 23, 2009 Great turnout and great pictures Dennis. My favorite car is that red and black 55-56 Olds convertible. Classy. Hey Norm, is this the same show we went to the day we went on Mad Hatter's Wild Ride in the Momad - after we checked out the wooden boats and woodies at Lake Arrowhead??? Lee Quote
Normspeed Posted August 23, 2009 Report Posted August 23, 2009 I think this is a much bigger show, where they park all along the streets in the town. The one we went to was in the hotel parking lot. Quote

The one we went to was in the hotel parking lot. This is a different show. This show takes over Big Bear Lake Village and the only vehicles allowed downtown are the show vehicles. Dennis:cool: Quote
