where are condensers and why?

my car has a condensor on top of the alternator, and another one behind the gauges, going from the ammeter (alternator connector) to ground (some attachment screw to the dashboard).

do you also have these? i don't find them in any of my wiring charts.

could it have something to do with the radio, to compensate generator oscillation for example?

they'll be shot after all these years, anyway. if i really need them i'll have to get new ones, but there aren't any numbers on them.:confused:

:)well, i did yesterday. just something abou some radio corp that fabricated it.

i heard those things can catch fire, that's why i'm so interested in it.

all the car's electricity runs through this little ammeter...
