For the Milwaukee area/SE Wisc guys... August 9th is the date for the Waukesha Old Car Club's Annual car show at Frame Park in Waukesha. I drive past this show almost every year and think that one of these times I'm going to attend or participate in it. Well I believe this is the year. I've been seeing their signs out for the upcoming show, so I looked it up and have found that I have that weekend open. I'll be sending in my preregistration and will take the Ol' Dodge over there for the show.

If anyone in the area is also interested, here's the links to their flier and registration form.

Right now its a very strong possibility. I'd leave here on Sat, stay with my friend Charlie do the car show on Sunday and return home on Monday.

I will send in my registration today and in Class A

Looks like I'll take US 12 just past Madison and then hook up with 18 into Waukesha. It's about a 400 mile trek for this old girl. Maybe I'll have my tailgate "Dodge" painted by then

Any other Wisconsin Pilothouse trucks?

Well, it was a nice show until the rain came...

Dennis drove his truck down from MN (400+ miles without a problem). So, counting his truck and mine there were... count 'em... 2 Dodge trucks at the show. Plenty of Bowties and Blue Ovals, but only 2 Dodge trucks in the entire show... and they were ours.

Dennis had a spot with a nice view of the river, better shade, and an unobstruted breeze. I was a row back, so I hung out near Dennis' truck when I wasn't roaming around.

Here's a few pics of trucks of interest... to me anyway.

A '41 Chevy on a 4X4 chassis with a 6.2L diesel. The engine was a tight fit, but it looked good.

I'm still on the road back to Monticello, tonight I'm in Eau Claire, WI.

My friend Charlie Miller rode back with me with his Scooter in the back of the truck. So after a good nights sleep we will part ways and he will head back to Waukesha on his 650 Burgman and I to Monticello in the Dodge. Trouble free so far at the 670 mile point.

Here are a few pictures from the show....and of my load

Thanks for bringing your trucks. It was great meeting you and seeing two Dodges that are actually driveable and look really nice. Some day mine will be in that category.
